Rio, 2007

Material: Fiberglass, sailcloth, rope.
The point of departure for this project is the idea of privacy in public space; while the design itself is motivated by the sheer sensation and enjoyment of life.
The main body of the chair is made from fibreglass, it has a thin, floating shape. In addition an optional “collar” is added for privacy.

The prototype was handmade with GRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic). It can also be made economic and ecologic by injection moulding of WPC (wood plastic composite). The collar is made of sailcloth and is fixed with rope.
